I am branching out. This is my first oil painting. Naturally, I have gone back to my totemic muse, Marilyn Monroe. I feel an affinity and deep connection with her. I believe oil paint allows me to bring out a translucence that reveals the beauty of her wounded soul. Painting with oil is fun, but the clean up is not! And after painting so many years with acrylic, I have to say, waiting for an oil painting to dry is like waiting for Godot!
