New Jersey, despite its reputation for polluted byways, is the Garden State. And besides the Shore, we have many other wonderful areas of natural beauty. One is Verona State Park, where there is a beautiful lake. You can go on paddle boat rides, and may see extraordinary things. The day we were there, we saw three weddings from three different American ethnic groups, Hispanic, Indian and Orthodox Jewish, and we saw a glorious Black Cormarant, as we floated blissfully on the tranquil waters. At least I floated blissfully, the other two were paddling! This painting was inspired by the magical day at Summer's end. This painting is on exhibit at the 2015 Art Alliance 29th Annual Juried Exhibition, Open Reception, Saturday, November 7, 6-9pm. For more info go to www.artallianceofmonmouth.org
