I grew up in Los Angeles with birds of paradise growing in my backyard. I remember dancing before them as if they were the brightest birds of Hollywood. I loved those exotic flowers, and didn't think of them as exotic until I moved to the East Coast. Then, they were only to be seen in flower shops. As for blue roses, those were obviously only roses in a dream. Until, I was gifted with the most beautiful birds of paradise and blue roses. What an inspiration!
