Here I am back at the beach. Sandy Hook is part of Gateway National Park. It's a beautiful beach. This painting shows what I love, the water and waves, the beautiful white sand, which had to be put back after Hurricane Sandy washed it all away, happy children, and glorious seagulls. In fact this beach used to have a great place called The Seagull's Nest, where you could sit up high and watch all the goings on. That was destroyed by Sandy and hasn't been rebuilt. But real seagulls' nests do exist there, and there is usually one sitting up gazing down at all the interesting humans. In the dressing room are the barn swallows. Here's one that was having a good day at the beach, inside!
