Last year I planted yellow roses. They lasted one day! The deer ate them for breakfast. As you know from my art, I love the deer and paint them often, but this really crushed me. I had to wait a whole year for the roses to come back and when they did, I pounced and brought them in immediately. I put them in a beautiful yellow vase and placed them on the coffee table. It gave me so much pleasure to look at them and I decided to paint them, so even if the actual roses don't last, my painting will.
